In our series, Inside Hunter, we sit down with some of the incredible people who bring these moments to life—our employees. This time, we meet with Jackie Charest, our Head of Global Marketing, to explore her favourite products, personal stories, and the properties that inspire her.
Q: Jackie, you’ve been with Hunter Amenities for just over half a year. What has stood out to you the most about the company so far?
Jackie: While I’ve spent much of my career in the cosmetic industry, I’ve quickly learned that amenities are an entirely different world—and it’s fascinating. Seeing how a concept evolves into a finished product, from designing the packaging to perfecting the formulation, has been eye-opening. What truly stands out to me is Hunter’s global capability. With an extensive network, we can seamlessly deliver exceptional products anywhere in the world, and fast.
Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui
Q: You’re known to be a bit of a cosmetic junkie. What’s your favourite product we manufacture?
Jackie: That’s a tough one because I love so many of them! But I’d say my discovery of the Le Labo Rose 31 collection stands out. On a trip to Maui, I stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani and tried Rose 31 for the first time. I’ve never been drawn to rose fragrances—it’s just not my go-to—but this one is different. It’s sophisticated, modern, and layered with spicy, woodsy notes that completely caught me by surprise. Now it’s a staple for me, and every time I wear it, I’m reminded of that trip to Maui—my happy place!

Le Labo really is the definition of slow perfumery.
Q: Le Labo is such an iconic partner brand for us. What makes their products special to you?
Jackie: Every detail feels thoughtful and intentional, from their sustainable approach to the way each fragrance is hand-blended and labeled in their boutiques. Rose 31, in particular, is designed to blur the lines between masculinity and femininity—it’s sensual, mysterious, and truly unforgettable. It’s no wonder Fairmont chose it as their exclusive in-room scent.
Q: You travel often—has any Hunter property partner stood out to you recently?
Jackie: The Fairmont Chateau Whistler has been on my mind lately. I’ve stayed there a few times, and each visit feels just as special as the last. There’s something about being surrounded by that kind of natural beauty—the mountains are truly majestic, and the view never gets old. Even though it’s a large property, it manages to feel warm and inviting, whether you’re curling up after a day of skiing or enjoying the summer sunshine. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home, and you leave already thinking about when you’ll be back.
